Development Philosophy
After extensive consultation with Tauranga City Council (TCC), the council has selected the smallest of the three options Tauranga Water Front Ltd (TWL) proposed.
It is the desire of both parties that the uses of the new Coronation Pier maximize the public interaction with the water front and harbour.
Accordingly the available tenancies will be used to attract and retain as many of the public as possible to the waterfront area. Hospitality and tourism uses in the appropriate context are examples of some of the uses that will achieve this goal.
TWL are open minded to ideas and proposals that fall outside that example, however business types that maximize interaction with the public will be given priority consideration.
Prospective tenants who can demonstrate a proven history in business and or management combined with the financial resource to start and sustain the business will be given priority consideration. Analysis of this will best be done from the proposers business plan.
Lease terms will be considered from 5 to 10 years duration.
